The 3 Valleys is the largest ski area in the world, with 330 pistes over 600 kilometers there is plenty to explore whether you are a beginner or an experienced skier. This massive ski domain climbs up to 3230 meters in altitude and is spread across 8 resorts, one of which, being right in the heart of it, is Meribel. Within Meribel is Meribel-Mottaret which dominates part of the resort and is at 1750 meters in altitude. There is plenty to do in Meribel-Mottaret, many restaurants, bars and you can get to Meribel centre within a few minutes by using the free bus service that stops just outside the hotel. Meribel has typical Savoyard architecture, you can see from all the chalets that they have been made from beautiful wood and stones from the region.

The high-altitude of the resort (and possibly the support of the snow cannons) means that it is possible to guarantee good snow conditions throughout the whole season. The excellent positioning of Meribel-Mottaret means that it is quick and easy to access other resorts within the 3 Valleys such as Val Thorens and Courchevel. Meribel offers a very wide range of activities such as dog sledging, snowshoeing and of course skiing.
